Tutor: Nikki Monaghan

Date: 10am – 1pm, Sunday, 14 March 2027

Price: £55 (includes tuition, use of tools, materials, and tea/coffee/snacks)

Suitable for adults and aged 16+

This half-day workshop with local Scottish artist Nikki Monaghan is designed for anyone who loves art, whether you’re a complete beginner or more experienced. No previous painting experience is required. Just bring your enthusiasm, and Nikki will guide you step by step to create your very own painting.

In past workshops, participants have either:

  • Brought along an image of a special place they’d like to paint (a favourite walk, holiday spot or landscape).
  • Used one of Nikki’s paintings as inspiration.

You can bring a printed photo or simply use your phone or tablet as a guide.

This is also a great workshop for team building and private parties – if you’d like to book for a private event, contact Rhona at rhonaduffy@mosaicandglass.com

Important notes

  • All our workshops are suitable for over age 16s.
  • If the workshop you were looking at is fully booked, email rhonaduffy@mosaicandglass.com and we’ll add you to the waiting list. We will add extra dates to our most popular workshops too, so join our newsletter mailing list to be the first to know.
  • In case of insufficient registrations, the workshop will be cancelled and you’ll get a refund of your workshop fee.
  • If you wish to cancel your place, a refund (minus bank charges) will only be possible if someone else takes your place.

About your tutor

Nikki Monaghan is a painter living and working from her studio in Falkirk, Scotland. Born in Bathgate and raised in Falkirk, she studied at the Scottish College of Textiles, earning a BA (Hons) Printed Textile Design. After working in the creative industries for several years, she became a full-time artist. She loves painting Scotland’s villages and cities, and even the occasional red deer. About our studio

Welcome to Studio 164 Falkirk. Our studio hosts community classes, workshops, exhibitions, meet-ups, pop-ups, and more, providing a hub for creativity and connection in the Falkirk area. As the home of Mosaic & Glass, we primarily offer opportunities to learn from local and international mosaic and glass creators. We’re currently expanding our programme, welcoming regular tutors from a wider range of creative fields, while still keeping the venue available to hire for other uses. It’s a welcoming space for teaching, learning, connection, creativity, and sharing. So whether you’re looking to hold your own event, or you’re interested in trying something new, we invite you to be part of our growing creative community.
