Tutor: Una Galbraith
Date: 1.30pm – 4pm, Saturday, 14 November 2026
Price: £55 (includes tuition, use of tools, materials, and tea/coffee/snacks)
Suitable for adults and aged 16+
Discover the art of glass fusing in this hands-on workshop. You can choose to create festive/Christmas decorations (which make great gifts too!) or pieces to enjoy all year round. Learn the essential techniques of cutting, layering, and fusing glass to create beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces. Guided by Una Galbraith, you’ll explore the properties of glass, experiment with colour and texture, learn how to cut glass, and design two or three small projects, such as Christmas decorations, jewellery, drink stirrers, bookmarks, hanging decorations, tiles, or magnets. Or, if you’re most interested in one thing – like jewellery or Christmas decorations – you can focus on that.
With all materials and tools provided, this workshop offers a relaxed and creative environment to ignite your artistic side. Perfect for anyone curious about glass art, this introduction promises a fun and inspiring experience! It’s a relaxed atmosphere where not only will you develop your glass fusing skills, but you’ll also have an enjoyable day out.
This workshop is suitable for complete beginners but more experienced fusers are welcome too.
Your pieces will need to be fired in the kiln and you can collect them a few days later, or we can post them out to you for a small extra charge to cover postage/packing.
This is also a great workshop for team building and private parties – if you’d like to book for a private event, contact Rhona at rhonaduffy@mosaicandglass.com
